Solforge: Basics of Battle

Hey everyone! I'm back today with another Solforge post! Today's post is going to hopefully (if you haven't played it yourself) teach you a thing or two about the basics of Solforge combat. Be ready for a fair bit of reading!
Solforge Battle Layout
The picture above is a layout of what a Solforge Battle looks like. From this example you can see that I am playing against Computer Easy (found top right) and that the computer has placed a Cinderfist Brawler in the 3rd (middle) lane. Now, let's take a quick look at the rest of the miscellaneous parts of the layout before going into the cards themselves.

In the top right corner it contains information about you're opponent and the bottom right, about you. We'll just look at the top (as the bottom is the same). So the name of my enemy is 'Computer Easy' and they currently have 100 health remaining (number inside blood drop). They are also only on level 1 (number in the green glow) and are a quarter of the way to level 2 (the amount of ring glowing). The other 2 values are fairly irrelevant and just talk about how many cards you have/have discarded.
Cinderfist Brawler
Attack - 7  Health - 3

Now onto the cards themselves. There are 2 types of cards, monster and spell cards. Monster cards are cards that have attack and health and will, once you hit battle, fight the monster across from them. They deal (for e.g.) 7 damage to the enemy creatures health and lose health equal to the enemies attack. Some creatures also have special effects when placed or when the kill something, anything like this will be just under the card after you double click on it.

The second type of card is a spell card. Spell cards have all sorts of different effects and bonuses such as healing your own health, increasing your monsters health/attack, decreasing opponents health, decreasing opponents monsters health and more. There are no two spell cards the same but you know what they are if they don't have attack and health. Just read what the card says it does and try to use it the best that you can.

Anyway, that's all from me folks. I hope you enjoyed this longer and more different post and let me know if you want more in depth guides to certain games and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,
- Deefooty
