Terraria is a 2D plat-former game that is similar to Minecraft. You must build a shelter and weapons to survive as you mine and discover amazing new things scattered throughout your world. In Terraria their is a huge range of things to do like mine, build, explore or even fight bosses!
Unlike Minecraft, when you start in your world you are given a few basic tools to help you. A pickaxe, an axe and a sword. You are given these to survive your first night, even if that means hiding in a hole in the ground, or fighting for your life against flying eyeballs and zombies.
But Terraria is not only about fighting bosses or exploring because you can also gather NPCs or defend against waves of invaders like a goblin army or a band o thieving pirates. Many of the NPCs you gather can be very useful, like the nurse, who can heal you in battle. But to be able to gather NPCs you must first fill in their criteria. For example, you can obtain a clothier once you have defeated skeletron, a giant, flying skeleton head and hands, and you have an empty room for him.
